[i]>Hi, I am 14 I take ballet since I was 11 in my school we use(all boys)a blue leotard, blue mini lycra shorts and white anckle the same as RAD regulations and I love it, I shave my legs because I like it and also my mom helps me, I think ballet is great and I would like someday to be a ballet teacher, the girls uses a solid pink leotard and white anckle socks and its fun we are 2 boys and 6 girls, In floor exercises the teacher lets us (the boys) take off the shorts and well is not big deal a leotard is just something use to dance and if youy love ballet you will know that the more confortable you are the better and without a shorts you feel more free, I hope all boys would do ballet because ballet is for boys also and the first ballet dancers in the history of ballet were men, <p>Taking off lycra shorts?  seems different to me(don't the shorts provide a bit of muscle support?), but you have to remember that a leotard was invented by a Leotard for men!   Females took the leotard away from guys just like they took away tights (outside the world of dancing). <p>Actually, the "inventor" of ballet is none other than King Louis XIV of France.  Not only did he invent it, he performed it too (not in tights though)<br>[/i]
