One thing however sticks with me, and I can hardly stop thinking about it. As is often the case, there were virtually all girls in the show, but there was one boy aged about thirteen, who wore the same as the girls! In one number he he was dressed as a doll, wearing a tutu and all. I could hardly believe my eyes! In another scene he was doing tap dancing and wearing a red leotard with white ankle socks. Embarrassing or what!
I felt so sorry for him, and I still do. It was not a joke or anything. Everyone's seen boys dressed in tutus for a joke, and it's normally very funny. This was for serious, and I can hardly stop thinking about it. How could the Dance School put a boy through such an ordeal?
I haven't said anything to anyone about it, but I thought I'd like to air my views.
