>>Kyle, you are lucky as your school permits you to wear girls uniform in class.>>I am also the only boy in my intermediate class and I love to wear girls uniform too! My school is very strict and I have to wear a white unitard over a dancebelt. Whereas the girls in my grade wear light blue camisole leos over pink tights and slippers, and I get hard when I am watching them go through their routine and waiting for my turn. I wish I can dress like them. But when my turm comes, I have to put my desires aside and dance like a man. >>The only thing I can get away with is I also take pointe work and I can wear pink block shoes when we practice pointe work near the end of class. I gradually became brave enough to wear pink soft shoes and my teacher tolerates me as I think I am good in ballet and actually better than most girls and she doesn't want to lose the only boy in class as there will be nobody to partner in pas de deux anymore.>>My mother encourages me to dance and let me act out my fantasy of becoming a ballerina at home, I love wearing pink camisole leos over flesh color tights and pink shoes with ribbons. I do it at home and also sleep in it as it doesn't bother other people.>>What I really want to say is ballet for boys is already hard enough. Although I am quite effeminate and I know I am gay, but in the dance world, one should be properly attired according to gender and show strength, masculinity and virtuosity to excell as a male dancer. I am lucky to be allowed to trained en pointe as well and I can show my femininity self when I practice pointe work.>>I think a lot of people, especially males, bring sexual feelings and desires into ballet and it is wrong.>>Dance is an art form than transcend sex desires and if we keep it that way, I hope there will be more boys becoming interested in dance. It doesn't matter whether you are straight or gay, that is a matter outside the studio.>>I hope I didn't anger you the wrong way and wish you the best in your ballet career.>>leslie      >I am one of those balletmoms you are talking about. When someone reads these lines that are written, it is no wonder that we give you the look. I feel that boys in tights have a gender problem, and should seek professional help. I have pity for a young adult male, who wishes to be a girl. While I donot like to make comments on a child's parent, I do condem and feel that it is grossly wrong, when a mother lets her male child dress up in girl's dancewear. I will say a pray for you my child.>A MotherDear Ballet Mom,You are the one with problems, not the boys.I wear nylons.Do you ? If you do, then you need therapy immediately.Tights/nylons/pantyhose are UNISEX !!Oh Yes, I am a male. You were brainwashed at some church.Yes, I was brought up in the Assembly of God...holy-rollers.These, among others, are the most idiotic way of believing. The years I'd spent with my Aunt and Uncle, were some 34 years.Same amount of years in this church.I'd strongly advise you to open your eyes.Instead of "everything is rosey in my world" bit.And get out of that church you belong to.And frankly Ballet Mom, I'm NOT politically correct ! I am politicallyin-correct.And proud of it.I own firearms, I HUNT.Do electronics.I was a SCUBAdiver from 1974-1978. I build computers.I train mechanics at work. I can drive 18 wheelers. Can you ?I also do a host of other things. So, I'd suggest, let boys be girls if they wish.If boys wants to wear pantyhose,LET THEM ! If a boy wants to be a girl, let him !I'd even force you to be a male, to see how you would like it.You wouldn't.I rest my case.
