I think this is only fair. Why should the boys have a dresscode that is different from the majority of the rest of the dancers????>Hi dear,>Males are special and need special rules. Not to sound conceited, but what Balletboy makes sense to me (and I'm looking from the outside).  The male wardrobe has been defined by the needs of the male dancer...it's more revealing for practical reasons.

Although Girl In Pink's question certainly brings up a valid point, it wouldn't work very well with the different role of the male dancer.  There's always tradeoffs in life somewhere.  I guess one could have a dresscode of white leotards worn under black tights for girls (obviously, WITHOUT a dancebelt), but needless to say, there are traditions and precedents everywhere that are not openly questioned.

If Girl In Pink still wants to see boys in black leotards and pink tights, she should try asking a boyfriend or a very willing brother to do it in the privacy of her own home, since that's the place for dressup (many people do it at home)
