(Angelina) is quite correct in her assessment of a prevailing "attitude" that shadows the dreamtime universe of Terpsichores progeny. There are also a not-so-small company of (pathetic) poseurs and wannabes who attempt to establish their bona fides by knocking anything that cannot be contained within their narrow perimeters of what constitutes an acceptable "appreciation" for an "art" for which they themselves possess an utter lack of comprehension.In other words,they are a claque of ignorant,ill-informed boobs who have no business casting aspersions on anyone who thinks differently from themselves.So some twit who claims to be a "serious" dancer is disgusted by the fetishization of an article of ballet related clothing? Tell them to throw a snit elsewhere! I enjoy my tights Gary,and I am pleased that this site exists. I am also deeply,passionately involved with ballet,on a semi-professional and academic level.They are not mutually exclusive;if you don't find ballet particularly intriguing,don't feel obligated to bother with it.I love the sense of cameraderie that exists here;in fact,I long to develop a relationship with someone who enjoys (not just tolerates) the same "quirk" that has carried me (and continues to do so) through a few extemely difficult periods in life. Don't bail out on this site yet;slip in to a pair of snug,form-fitting,footed Danskins;run your fingers from the tips of your toes to the soft waistband,and think how wonderful it is to be encased in that silky,luscious cocoon. Take care.Sign me,"Dancerintights".P.S. to all: My performance in the play "Circus Fantasia" was quite successful;the tights are a wonderful souvenir. The sheer to waist support pantyhose that "held" me in place (along with my M. Stevens dance belt),kept me "alert" throughout the entire performance...or should I say "run"? Answers to this message:
