Re: Tights in movies

Hey Depon,

Thanks for the writeup on Ski Party!  I'm going to hit the library video rack and see if I can find it (they usually have a lot of those oldies).  Sounds like good fun!  I remember catching a glimpse of some other 60's movie, where many tights-clad girls pranced about... not sure it's this one.  Wish I could remember!  If I do, I'll definitely post here.

~Seamless~>>>>As some may have surmised by others of my posts, I'm kind of a geek when it comes to pop music. Therefore, when I sat down to watch the AMC "American Pop" presentation of the old Frankie Avalon flick "Ski Party" (I don't have a TV, but I commandeer Depona's for "American Pop", "Sessions at West 57th", and my regular participation in Recreational Christianity), I was expecting to enjoy some trashy rock and roll (although this one had James Brown in it-cool!) and a lousy old movie (another passion). What I didn't expect was a long sequence at a slumber party wherein Frankie and his buddy (posing as girls) get stranded in a room full of girls wearing nothing but bright, muticolored tights and matching, SHORT nightshirts. But that's what I got! Plus a pillowfight! Ootah! One of the girls was played by Yvonne Craig (TV's Batgirl), even! -Depon>P.S.The Godfather was his usual flamin' best, but for some reason, they made him and the Flames wear these ridiculous ski sweaters. Take it from a guy who wears tights, James and the guys looked bad, not in the good way...
