>I'm wanting to buy me a pair of pointe shoes, but my mind is drawing a blank as far as what i should say to the dance store clerk from whom I'm buying them, bcause i KNOW she's going to ask why i want them. If anyone can help me here, I'd greatly appreciate it. Angie's shoes are too small for me. I wear a size 10 in men's, and I know where i can find them.>TIA,>JayTell her you are taking pointe because your instructor thought it may help your technique. This is what I said when I bought mine (it was the truth also)and the salesgirl was more than happy to help. More guys than you may thinktake pointe. I took it for 2 1/2 years, wore them pink with sometimes pink tights. Nobody said anything. It was no big deal. I quit afterwards because it was very difficult and it hurt like hell. I have no regrets trying it. At least now I can relate to all the bitching I always hear about how much they hurt.Good luck.
