>I'm wanting to buy me a pair of pointe shoes, but my mind is drawing a blank as far as what i should say to the dance store clerk from whom I'm buying them, bcause i KNOW she's going to ask why i want them. If anyone can help me here, I'd greatly appreciate it. Angie's shoes are too small for me. I wear a size 10 in men's, and I know where i can find them.>TIA,>JayJay,

I work in a dancewear store.  I am also male.  I've taken pointe and ordered mine from a dancewear store,  before I worked in one.  I must say be careful. My store would probably not sell them to you,  if the seller is experienced  they can tell if you need to "work on your technique"  or if you just want to wear them.  We don't sell them as toys we sell them as tools of the trade.  Not just anyone would sell you a semi if you didn't know how to drive one safely.  They do hurt and they take alot of skill and talent.  One can be injured if not trained correctly.  Even the pro's are injured sometimes just from minor mistakes.  Don't be embarrassed though.  Men do pointe work,  Just be careful.  i know sometimes our fetishes rule out,  and sometimes things are legitimate.  Just be careful.  They're not toys.  Don't want to sound bitchy,  just don't want you to get hurt.

Joey--
