I bought the ribbons and elastic too, and for now I just have them super-glued to the shoes until my cousin comes down here and can sew them on properly. Those shoes are tough! I feel sorry for the shoes after seeing what those girls did to them in Center Stage. I'm not bothering to try and stand on pointe because that would just be ludicrous - i've only taken a month of dance classes and it was jazz and tap. but I'm happy with my investment and look forward to a good time with these new shoes.
