Not only is Ms. Bush a gorgeous woman and recording artist extraordinaire, but she clearly likes tights in a big way! Get hold of any book about her (and by all means, the CDs, though the books are better if you want to see lots of photos) and groove on those costumes! In the stills from the video shoot for "Sat in Your Lap" she's in a white tutu and tights with no shoes (and a dunce cap!), the cover of the CD "The Red Shoes" features a picture of Kate's feet in red satin pointe shoes and torn black stockings, and almost all of her concert footage features loads of dance and dancewear. I remember she was asked to perform on "Saturday Night Live" back in the seventies, and she tried to appear on stage in a unitard and nothing else (yay Kate). Lorne Michaels made her wear a trench coat over it for "Them Heavy People." The Schmuck. -Depon>>>I remember seeing Kate on that Sat. Night Live...I thought I remembered her wearing the white leotard, tights and dunce cap while she sang "The man with the child in his eyes." Of course, I may be wrong. >>>Never the less, Kate is very sexy and does love her dancewear. In the video for "Running up that Hill" she is wearing a grey leotard and tights. >>>>>You probably aren't wrong! I think I just tuned in late and caught only her second song. The story is, though, that Lorne Michaels buckled under S & P pressure and told our girl to cover up for her second performance. And she STILL looked sexier than Pat Benatar!-Depon >>>>Just a quick caveat here. It's of course only my opinion, but I believe some Kate Bush albums are better than others for people who've never heard her music before, specifically, "The Whole Story" (her "greatest hits" package) and "Hounds of Love" (her masterpiece, in my opinion). The other albums are great, too, but if the first KB record I'd ever heard was "The Red Shoes," I'd probably not be as into her as I once was (still love her, but now I prefer the Cocteau Twins-don't get me started on them, I'll post until I drop!)-D Depon, I agree with you here. "The Whole Story" is a great place to start for anyone curious about the music of Kate Bush. My wife likes "The Red shoes", but I am not that crazy about it. BTW, I am a fan of the Cocteau Twins, also. Answers to this message:
