Yes that on-off sexism switch is amazing isn't it? My wife pulls this occasionally regarding masculine/feminine colors. I happen to like pink and liliac, she thinks its rather queer. But only in certain instances!? I had an experience once in a ballet class wearing pale pink tights by some girl who asked how any guy would be caught dead in pink tights. I told her that I don't have color hang-ups, I just wear whatever color I like. Where is it said that a straight guy can't wear these colors? Her answer is that only some (straight guys) can get away with it. Not just any guy. Some women are just not turned on by men wearing tights. In my own experience, these same women have a tendency to be attracted to quasi 'macho' guys; they all fit the same stereotypical profile of a beer guzzling ,VERY SPORTS ORIENTED, self centered, narrow minded type (that are always very insecure). I think the girl in seamless's story is probably involved with this same type.Frankly, I pity her. Answers to this message: |
