But I have to say, it does seem like... "stretching" it, just a bit.  I would have thought a Mom who wanted to give a little punishment would have, after the first major day of embarrassment, taken a stance of "OK, learned your lesson?  Good.  Now go change back into your regular clothes."  But to go this far... taking you to a dance store.  Putting pink tights on a boy in front of other girls.  This is just absolutely abusive.  And if I was standing there with my "soldier at attention" with a little more embarrassing attention heaped on, I would've shot my load right then and there.  "Ok Mom, you happy?  There--I did it!!"  Better yet, gone completely in the other direction.  To someone staring at me:  "My Mom is the queen of humiliation--can you believe she's forcing me to do something like this?  Just because I did something wrong, this is the kind of punishment I get."  or to some lady watching "Help me?  My Mom, she's--she's crazy.  She never wanted a boy, so she's doing this to me?  Oh please, somebody help me!"  Perhaps even reverse psychology--out of sheer desperation, simply start acting like a girl.  Any little girl saying "Look, there's a boy wearing tights!" to reply "What boy?  I'm a girl!!"  Embarrass Mom instead, even get her to worry that she's pushing you off the edge into gay-dom.

Are you buttering this up just a little?  Or is this really indeed what your mother did to you?
