>>>>>>I agree with Depon.  (I don't always)  Billy Elliot is an uplifting film which cuts across many of the prejudices around Ballet. Every woman in my ballet class wanted to take their children - especially boys - to see ballet portrayed in a positive light.>>Riddler there were a number of scenes especially the audition at White Lodge the Royal Ballet School of students in tights and tutus but since the main character was about 12 - 13 the age group of the dancers was bound to be pretty much the same.  But I must confess that I'm puzzled.  Why would you want to see a 13 y.o. boy in tights?  and if you don't see it does that condemn the contents of the film?>>p.s. Don't forget the soundtrack included The Jam - A Town Like Malice>>p.p.s.  Good luck with the ballet class Riddler.  Don't go just for the tights and leotard.  Go for the dancing.  If you don't you are not likely to get a very positive response and that will spoil your enjoyment.  Let us know how it goes.>>>>Oh, yeah! Paul Weller AND Marc Bolan! What more could a pop geek of my stripe desire? Well, maybe something by The Fleshtones...-Depon>P.S. "Town Called Malice" is definitely one of the great Jam songs, but have you ever heard their cover of the Chi-Lites' "Stoned Out of My Mind?" Unbelievable! I remember that I'd gone gaga over the Jam after hearing "Beat Surrender" for the first time, and then got the news that they's broken up a week later! I was fairly disconsolate, until I heard The Style Council!>P.P.S. Don't get me started talking about pop music!

Depon--besides our love of tights, we share the same tastes in music!!  I was a college dj from 1982-1985...love the Jam and Style Council.
