I am physically fit, generally, and I could probably do alright in a starting class. But I really fear being the only guy in a class of young girls. And thinking I probably wouldn't do this beyond the mere novelty of it (saying to myself "I did it!"), seems not enough to warrant the attempt. If I approach it, it would rather be feeling this is something I might do for years to come. And I would have a very hard time telling ANYONE I know that I'm doing it, my parents most of all.>~Seamless~ WOW!! Your physically fit, I'm not, and I'm the one taking ballet lessons!!! Is something wrong with this picture???? It's totally up to you Seamless, but I'd strongly advise you to at least give ballet lessons a try. After all, That's what I'm doing. Giving it a try. For me, this is starting out as a whim, but I'm hoping to make it a long term commitment. Yes, I'm looking forward to wearing dancewear around others, that's what got me to sign up, now let's see if I've got the staying power!!!!PSDon't be too concerned about being an older guy in a studio full of much younger girls. Many studios now offer adults ballet lessons for adults over a certain age like say 25 or so. You can do what I did, call around to the various studios, and inquire about just this issue.
