I am a ballet dancer, beside tights, thong leotards & and dancebelts I am VERY into ballet slippers, I wear size 6 1/2 slippers. I wear leather white and black ones on the streets, as they last longer. I also like to wear different color socks with my shoes to give a better contrast.

I change into canvas ones when I go in doors, I always carry a couple pairs on my bag. (I actually have a guy asking me to sell him the pair I am wearing, I think he wetted himself when I produce a pair of not very worn pink leather split sole Capezio Teknik IIs and just gave it to him as a present) I like both full sole and 1/2 sole ones, in any fabric or colous, I sometime dye white canvas ones to other colors.

One thing I HATE and try to avoid is slippers with too high a vamp, I like low vamp ones. My mom send me from Hong Kong canvas slippers, a brand called 3- Stars, that have a low cut vamp and low cut back as well, already with cross elastics sewed on, and they only cost about US$ 4/pair. Unfortunately they only make them to size 8 ( Hong Kong size 40 ) and the guys [we have 4 guys in my school, 2 older ones and a younger one, but I am the only boy in my class - I don't like the masculine steps much, actually prefer girls class and I get to do pointe work as well, the older boys wanted to do pointe as well but are either afraid of the jeers or parent pressure] in my ballet school can't wear them as they have bigget feet!

When I dance, I usually wear Gamba pink satin split soles with ribbons (they are standard UK RAD uniform shoes for girls in England) The boy in the younger class gets turned on - as he always like to see me dance and always keep staring at my shoes. He wears standard black slippers over white socks and they are so boring.

I think I will give him a pair and dare him to wear in class.

I am effeminate by choice and am gay, hope to join Ballet Trocks when I am old enough to audition.
