Re: Speaking of Intoxication

Anyway.

Coming to ballet class intoxicated or high is a definite thrill ride.  And I know I'm not the only one doing it.

I normally choose the very first day of class, preferably of a beginning ballet class with a teacher you never had before.  This keeps the steps simple and makes it so the people don't know your are NOT acting yourself.

I just have to repeat the fact community college classes are the best.

Then, get drunk on something that can't be smelled on your breath like vodka and something or pot.  I like screwdrivers.

If alcohol gets you more excited, sensual and uninhibited, then vodka is for you.  Pot just mellows me out too much...but people are different!

I just really like coming drunk on the first day of class because a lot of the students just show up in tights and leotards (not suspecting there would be any boys around---this changes by the next class when they get more coy and start wearing those silly skirts.) The high just gets you uninhibited so that you just get close and start saying "hi!"

Also, if you plan on wearing something bold on your first day (like a leotard) alcohol does take away the inhibitions.

Only thing to warn you about...your eyes.  They get really red and bloodshot if you are really drunk.

The second time I did this the teacher just came right up to me and looked me straight in the eyes for a while.  She didn't say anything, but she was not really into me for the rest of the semester.  So don't talk to the teacher and if she comes up to you, squint your eyes like you're thinking really hard.

During another first day, I noticed one of the girls that had just come in with a leotard and tights had really bloodshot eyes.  Dummy that I am , I thought she had a health problem.  But, you guessed it.  She was stone drunk.  The only thing she had is she was stressing out on where she could get ballet shoes (sounds like a little bit of pot in there somewhere).  Another girl who always came in a black leo and panythose had to be on something too.

Last suggestion:  If you wear glasses or get new contacts, you can wear a new perscription to class and the effect is just about the same as being drunk depending on how bad you optometrist is (this is especially true with a new perscription of contacts if you don't wear them regularly...+you look better!!).

Well, as you can see, there is a technique to this.  So know your intoxicated self, be smart and have a great time!!!
