If you've been taking class for only 2 months, the muscles of your feet andcalves aren't strong enough for you to wear pointe shoes yet. So it is nota question of fairness of unfairness; it's a question of protecting youfrom possibile injuries. Men do take pointe classes, either because theywant to maintain a skill they've acquired for greater marketability or elseto strengthen the muscles of their legs and feet still further.
