Well, we did try this once before. If I remember right, there wasn't much traffic at the alternate forum. Parsimony is so easy to use, although the "c0m" text filter is a pain (lame attempt at trying to prevent website links from being posted). And here there is the opportunity for the anonymous surfer to drop by and start a new conversation, despite the flame spammers that come around as well.
