I'm not trying to defend "Luigi"--I didn't get much of a kick out of what he said, but I don't see any derogatory content about Italians. People still use accents in comedy, in case you haven't watched The Comedy channel lately. Even Seinfeld had an episode, The Barber, where two guys talked in stereotyped "Italian English".
