Dea and i had similar stuff going on with her kids, especially son #2, who had a habit of showing up unannounced, doing his one-man impression of a siege engine, JUST as the goin' got good. It was a bitch at first (especially since HE was getting more tang than the NASA cafeteria, with nary a jolt,) but it spawned a running gag between the wife and I which we still have occaision to enjoy, though thankfully a lot less often now that the dauphin is in school: Have you ever seen the movie "The Hollywood Knights?" It's a fave of mine, mainly famous for being Michelle Pfeiffer's first movie. Anyway, there's this nerd character named Dudley, who's constantly stumbling upon this couple who are trying to have a quickie without her husband finding out. So, since a few years ago, whenever the kid comes barging in at an inopportune time, I yell "MRS. FRIEDMANNNNN!" in Dudley's voice. And we LAUGH! Through gritted teeth that is. Be strong, homey!-D
