[i]Since ballet slippers basically fall apart on cement, there are some alternatives. Red Luggage (brand name) put out a really cute ballet slipper on a hard sole a while back. Since I cannot find them anymore, I thought of having a cobbler put a sole on my ballet slippers. . Another option is to look at true moccasin style shoes that are designed to cradle the foot. I have found some very comfortable double soled mocs from two manufacturers (double sole means no hard bottom, but two thick soft leather bottoms). One is Minnetonka. . And if you just have to have plain ballet slippers that might stand up a little longer in daily wear, you might try the "Marquis" shoe made for color guards and front line band members. It is not very high quality, but the soles are thicker. I think the real problem is that the stitching will wear even before the sole. . So, don't ask me why the most comfortable shoe in the world is not made in a way we can wear it out doors! Sheesh.>Hi there, >Hope you will be able to help.
