I only wear Freed's ballet slippers, and have found a few friends here in Chicago who feel the same way. Back in the 1980's I ordered a pair from them, performace weight white calf skin, with solid leather "russian" soles, custom made to my foot models. They were $85.00 back then. I'm sure that they're more today, IF they still would make then as custom as my demands were then. The kind lady who ran Freed's American office back then was a personal friend, and I'm sure that if I was an ordinary person they wouldn't have made them, or charged much more. I'd pay up to $200.00 today for custom made ballet slippers today of the same quality, without blinking. You'd shutter to know what I pay for custom made Luchese western boots, without the surcharge for exotic leathers. Actually, ballet slippers in ostrich sound interesting...I'll let you know what they would cost if I can have them made! BalletMaster Answers to this message:
