Choreographer & 2 Assistants NEEDED. (Dancers too)
Dreamland Entertainment is seeking a choreographer and 2 assistant choreographers for an new dance production venture (see below for description). This is a new avenue for Dreamland, so creative autonomy will be given to the selected individuals. Positions are located in Tampa, Florida. Interested candidiates would be required to relocate (at least on a long-term temporary basis) to the Tampa Bay area. Relocation assistance may be provided for the right candidate. Salary is negotiable and based on previous dance and teaching experience. Selected individuals will also receive a portion of profits in addition to their salary. All applicants will be given consideration. This is an excellent opportunity for dancers (young and older) interested in leading others. The ideal candidate should have a background in modern, hip-hop, and urban dance with the ability to teach others and keep them under control. Choregrapher and 2 Assistant Choreographer positions will be filled IMMEDIATELY upon finding the ideal candidates.
Dancers are also needed for Dreamland's dance production (see description below). Dancers will be required to dance in modern, hip-hop, and urban styles and must either be familiar with these or be willing to learn. Some dance experience and background is a must. Exotic dancing is okay. Dancer will be expected to relocate (at least on a long-term temporary basis) to the Tampa Bay area of Florida for the production and rehearsals. Salary is negotiable and based on experience, talents, appearance, and dedication. Selected dancers will be given an opportunity to prove their worthiness and dedication during the 1st two weeks of rehearsal. Those individuals who are unable to prove their skills will be dropped from the production without pay. Those remaining will receive their pay at the end of the first four week period since rehearsal began, and payment will be all four weeks or such time as you have worked. Because salary is only partial while rehearsing, dancers will be encourage to take on other jobs while rehearsing, but will be expected to appear and perform at all production shows. A full salary is paid during production, and dancers will share in a portion of monthly profits during production in addition to receiving a full salary. Lead dancers will receive one and half their full salary, plus an additional share of profits. 50 to 60 dancers are anticipated being need and approximately 10 to 14 will become lead dancers. All wardrobe and makeup will be provided. Dancers should be between 17 and 35. Some exceptions may be made for the right individuals. Candidates 17 years of age MUST furnish a parent or guardian's written permission if still 17 upon being selected. DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCTION: Dreamland Entertainment has contracted to provide a Vegas style Lounge Show to be performed in various venues all across the U.S., Canada, Bahamas, and Carribean. Perhaps some locations is Mexico as well, but unclear at this time. A great deal of travel will be involved upon commencement of production and is covered by Dreamland. Dancers (showgirls and beefcake-boys) will be involved in seductive entertainment and dinner shows. For a similar example of the type of shows rent the movie "Showgirls" starring Elizabeth Berkley. Costumes and wardrobe are skimpy, some dancers will be topless, some will be nude, and others will be barely covered. All dancers will be required to engage in publicity activities and serve as spokesmodels for the production. Some dancers will also be involved in smaller side shows and will perform in smaller clubs (including exotic clubs), restaurants and theaters. No lewd or X-rated behavior will be a part of this show. All dancers and staff will provide respect to each other or be dismissed. [/i]
