I totally agree! It's such a double standard, that in today's day and age, women can wear whatever they want, but boys are still meant to only wear boring, practical clothes.
I'm glad I'm not the only one trying to change the world's view on this!
Actually, I find that in Asia, it's much more accepting. Transexuals and transgendered people are much more accepted. What's more, Asian tend to look up to caucasians. (I'm not trying to be racist, it's just an observation.) So, when they see a caucasian guy, looking very androgenous (or maybe more feminine than masculine), then they don't even look.
Or maybe it's more about saving face. They don't want to look because they don't want to be embarassed.
Whereas in the west, people are much more willing to embarass themselves and humiliate others if they see someone who doesn't fit their description of "normal".
Let's all keep wearing our tights, leotards, flared jeans, ballet slippers and wear them with pride!
