Leather slippers are much harder to dye, as the dye tend to streak, but if your tights are in the same colour, it doesn't make too much of a difference, as it's not too noticeable. Ypu moght want to do more than one coat with the elastics as they absorb more to get to the colour you want. As for ribbons, I have no idea but use white ones to start with and dye them together with your elastics before you sew them onto your slippers. <br>Hope it helps!
