It gave the men that ability to show the muscle development of their backs. Absolutely nothing wrong with that!<p>Often in performances men dance simply in a costume of dancebelt and tights. This allows the audience to appreciate the muscles of the male upper body. (That's also the reason why men tend to wear tank tops!)<p>I see nothing at all "feminine" about the display of the masculine musculature! I always try to wear clothing that emphasizes my well-honed and well-toned physique!
