Hey Quad! I don't think I ever saw a "figureskating dance belt." Why should there be a difference? I can't imagine one.
I had a boyfriend years ago who was taking ballet classes to help his figure skating, and he wore a dancebelt just like mine (maybe it was mine, or his -- we dressed identical for a while!)
One thing that I'd suspect is that there isn't much of a market for just ballet dancebelts versus figureskating dancebelts versus any other kind of dancebelts, so they're probably all made by one or two manufacturers, probably on the same models or forms.
As for shopping.....why worry about it? Although guys buying dancebelts are rare, guys do buy them. Tell the store what you want the dancebelt for and explain exactly what you want in the dancebelt (size, fit, support). It's not some piece of forbidden-wear that you have to be ashamed of buying. Tell them what you want, and if they can't oblige, find a store that will help you.
Good luck! BalletMaster
P.S. Are you into ballet to enhance your figureskating?[/i]
