When I go to my local dancewear shop, the female clerk is the most friendly person I have ever met. She always is right there to assist me in my selection of tights, slippers and leotards. She insists that I try everything on for propoer fit and tells me to let her see when I am dress so she can properly fit me. When female patrons come in the store, I notice they do not get the same level of service and she often ignores them until they are ready to make their purchase. She is a real friend to me now and know she loves it when I come in the store. Is it me or my state of dress that intrigues her? Anybody working in a retail environment has to deal with the routine of their job, and a break in that routine is always welcome (unless the salesperson themselves thrive on boredom). A girl (or for that matter a guy) working in dancewear sales spends most of their workday dealing with girls and women. A guy walks in and POW! Instant break in the routine. If the girls hetero (or the guy gay) and the customer's reasonably attractive, that gives the experience a little spice, and if the guy becomes a regular and the two of them get along, (as it seems to be in your case,) well, you're in dancewear-retail Valhalla, aren't you? I don't believe it is just coincidence that she always selects the more, shall I say, revealing dance wear for me to try on, always insisting she see me once they are on. The store owner is an older woman that I rarely see. My friend I would guess is in her twenties and always selects an armload of the sheerest of tights and never a leotard unless it is a thong-tank. I have seen her break the packaging on tights for me to try knowing full well the owner would have a duck knowing she was doing that. But hey, I enjoy making her day, after all she makes mine when I see her smiles of delight and lustful stares penetrating every inch of my anatomy. I have thought about asking her for a date but am afraid that would spoil what we already have. What do you think?? >>>>I think you should keep your wits about you, and keep an eye open for more signs of interest on her part. You can gently let her know that you're interested in her without scaring her away by just giving her the occaisional compliment (as subtle as a warm smile when you look at her-I'm pretty sure you're already doing this!) and see what her reaction is. Then, you could also just ask her to do something that the two of you might find mutually interesting (Hey, have you seen "Billy Elliott" yet?) And remember, it's pretty much up to you whether or not things get uncomfortable after you ask her for a date (if she's not interested, that is-hope that's not the case!) If you still respond to her as someone you like spending time with in any situation,then things should continue as always (except she'll start looking at you as someone with a certain ammount of desire for her, and while I've met girls who don't like that, they're definitely in the minority.
