I was always under the impression that yoga mandated the feet to be bare, so that you could grip the floor for support of necessary positions. Do you wear some kind of slipper over your feet while wearing your footed unitard? By the way, I have had issues with Baltogs "Lycra" material. They seem to be inconsistent from item to item. I have three Baltogs unitards, one long sleeve footed crew neck, one long sleeve footed mock turtleneck, and one full body black unitard with open face. The cobalt blue turtleneck and black fullbody ones have semi-soft stiff material. However, the red crewneck one has an obviously superior soft, flexible material. It's great. But not as great as MStevens unitards. Have you ever worn one? MStevens uses Milliskin, which is an absolutely fantastic material--very soft, stretchy, and yet reasonably opaque. The only thing that keeps me interested in my blue and red Baltogs unitards is that the front is completely seamless. They look great! If only MStevens could do the same.
