And I salute. I belong to a studio where it is required (for women, but not men!). I am the only guy in my classes who dresses the part also (tights and leotards ALL THE TIME AT EVERY CLASS - with lighter colored tights as opposed to standard black) because like yourself it helps me feel as much like a pro even if I am not. In my opinion, this sort of disipline helps in class (your psyche). Mine anyway. >Linda,>The adults ballet class that I attend also has no dresscode, it's just wear whatever you like. I tried wearing my pantyhose to class, but quickly found that they run so easily, and revealed a little bit more than I would have liked. So I decided to go out and buy a couple of pairs of Capezio's ballet tights. They're much heavier than pantyhose, so they will last longer than pantyhose, and cover those parts that I'd rather not show off. They do feel comfortable to. So now I'm the only one in my class who dresses the part. I usually wear the pink Capezio ballet tights with a black camisole leotard. I look the part, and that helps me feel more like a dancer.
