When I have toreplace a lightbulb next to the entrance of our house, I climb upon the adjacent railing. The risk is that I'll fall & tear mypants. So in Summer I wear shorts, but in Winter, I put on tights,which cling too closely to be caught & torn. I also wear tights when shovelling snow, because they dry more quickly. These arerather dull uses, I'll grant you, not nearly as exciting as runningabout & showing off one's legs, but...well, you asked. And I've seen a guy in the neighborhood wearing tights when rakingleaves in the Fall. Baggy tights, but tights just the same. It isn't all exciting exhibitionism, let me tell you.
