I have been to a hotel in the UK *Holiday Inn - Heathrow" and have worn black lycra cycle shorts and a dark purple full back leotard over the top.  I walked from my room dressed in the shorts and leotard with just a t-shirt over the top. When I got to the gym I took the t-shirt off and ran on the machines for abut 15 minutes I then put the t-shirt over the top again and walked back to my room.  The t-shirt was not too long so alot of people saw that I was wearing a womens leotard over the cycle shorts.  It was soooo good.  Please let me know how you get on.
