I'm a seriousrecreational dancer. That means I take class for the sake ofthe art--trying to be quick & precise & trying to learn to movebeautifully--but not kidding myself that I could appear on stageas anything more youthful than Drosselmeyer. :-) And yes, I'm aware of the way tights feel & the way they make one'slegs feel. But then, I'm aware of all the pretty girls in skin-tight practice clothes, too. There's a difference, however, betweenawareness & appreciation on the one hand & fixation on the other.When I'm doing a combination, I think about the combination & theclothes & pretty girls are relegated to the subliminal.
