>>Hello. I am looking for some advice and direction.
>>I am a 36 yr old male thinking about starting Ballet Lessons. I have never danced before, but think it would be fun and a good hobby. Due to my age, I am not sure if this is a realistic interest for me. I do not know where to go for lessons and am sure I would be uncomfortable being the "old guy" in the class. Not to mention that I would be somewhat uncomfortable wearing tights.>>Where should I look for lessons and guidance and maybe see what I am getting myself into? I want to be sure I am not the only 36 yr old in the area who is interested in Ballet.
>>Thanks for you help.

Hi!Don't worry I started at age 38,I'm overweight too. I found a small studio with an Adult class. I'm the only guy but I now have my wife in it. We have a great time! Just jump in. No one cares about the tights, trust me no one notices it's just what you wear. Get a dance belt--it's a must. They take a bit to get used to but you must wear one!Drop me a note if you want moral support. GO AHEAD AND DO IT!Been doing 5 years now!Steve[/i]
