You need a terrific talent to start now and make it as a professional. If I were you, I'd get the opinions of as many people as possible. As soon as it makes sense to do so, audition *everywhere,* even if you aren't actively looking for a job, just to get as many people's opinions as you can. And in the mean time, prepare a fall-back position in case things don't work out.
