I'm 17 years old and I started ballet 2 1/2 years ago. I was so excited for my first day of class, but I was also very scared. First of all, I do not have the "ballet body" and second....I had no idea what I was doing. But don't let the idea of knowing nothing scare you. Just remember that all dancers were beginners once too. And if you are worried about making a fool of yourself....don't. My second class we were practicing turns and I fell straight on my butt. One girl leaned over and asked me if I was okay and then said that happened to her on her very first class. So those things happen to everyone.
