Well I started Ballet lessons in Yorkshire, UK in October 2003, and I am at least twice the age of my teacher. Never been particularly fit, but since August 2003 I have lost 18kilos weight and been going to gym 4 times a week (good foundation to start Ballet).
The Beginners class I started at Northern Dance School, Leeds UK had many people (mainly 20something girls) who had been ion this class for years. So I found it hard to keep up with them, and the class was too big for teacher to give individual tuition. So I asked the tutors for individual tuition and now get occassional private lessons. These are very expensive - you need a dance studio to rent, plus tutor. But this is EXCELLENT way to learn. But I also need a good room to practice in every day[/i]
