[i]i danced for about 8 years when i was very young (from age 4 to 12)-- very casual, once-a-week classes in tap, jazz, and ballet. in high school i took up fencing and now, after 4 years of fencing and many years since my last dance class, i am planning to take up a beginning ballet class and a beginning modern class, each twice a week (it's a college course). i LOVE dancing and miss it so much, but i am, however, v. self-conscious/nervous about my pretty large calf and thigh muscles and relative loss of flexibility. also, is there any chance i will ever go on pointe if i keep up ballet? i am kind of stocky...5'6" and about 145 pounds. thanks, guys.[/i]
