I would say talk to the instructor of the tap class, see if it was a problem.  Maybe he was not making a big deal ofyou being late by not recognizing you.

If it is a problem.  Talk to the studio manager/owner, see if they can schedule a slight gap between class sessions.  

Would be seem logical to this Vulcan, Captian.
