I live just west of the city, west of Oak Park.  I know a number of places that you might try.  NorthWest ballet comes to mind, though I haven't been there in years.  I favor some of the sites in the city and those nearby where I live.

If you are out of shape, but know the basics, there are some places you may feel comfortable with.
