It is almost impossible to learn on your own.  The basic terms and movements, are the easiest parts to learn.

What is hard, is activating all of the correct muscles (and only those muscle) in the correct order, and staying relaxed, is extraordinarily hard.  You need that feedback from teachers.

What will help you is working on flexibility and learning Pilates.  But you need to get into technique classes with a good teacher.
