written by The Ballet Mistress at on 27.10. at 16:24:21 I keep seeing young women in ballet classes these days wearing their white ballet tights over their black leotards.When I learnt ballet ans later taught ballet there was a clear and accepted dress rule that females wore their ballet tights under their leotards.Similarly if any male ballet student had come to one of my classes wearing their leotard over their ballet tights or wearing an inappropriate color(i.e. pink!)they would have been asked to leave the class at once.Ballet is about discipline, tradition and proper deportment...so girls wear your ballet tights under your leotards from now on.The Ballet Mistress Answers to this message:
