written by mike at on 30.11. at 16:04:06 My sister has persuaded me to join her in an adult beginner ballet class(we're both in our 30's).Neither of us took ballet classes as children.I am the only male in the class with the women in it being mostly in the 30 to 50 age range.Dress for class seems to be very relaxed ,some women wear tights and leotards others wear tee shirts,tights or even leggings.My sister wears an old pair of black keep fit tights and a tee shirt.She has offered an old pair of black tights she used to wear(70 denier)which she suggests I wear over a thinner pair of black tights to ensure proper leg coverage.I must confess I fel a bit embarrasses weraing womens tights but I'm not sure I want to fork out for expensive mens ballet tights for what is an easy going ballet exercise class.Any other males learning ballet ever worn ordinary womens fashion or exercise tights to class?
