You may like the idea of wearing pointe shoes. But to actually DANCE en point, you have to have enough passion for ballet to develop your feet and legs to the the point that it is possible. not all dancers like dancing en pointe. It is not the pinnacle of ballet by any means, although in modern classical ballet it is the highlighted feature. There is quite a percentage of great ballet dancers who dance in soft shoes.
