....follow your dream !
written by Bill - bbrownjr@adelphia.net on 11.08. at 23:17:08 Ever since I was a child I have wanted to take ballet sooo bad, but because I grew up in an abusive enviorment I was to afraid to say anything to my parents about my feelings. Anyway, as an adult I still have these same feelings and have been considering taking lessons, but there is one thing that has been stopping me. I consider myself to be transgender. I was born male but feel like a female, this is another thing I have felt ever since the age of six, but because of the abuse I hid it from every one. Even to this day, I have not been able to dress out in public female because I feel so uncomfortable. Anyway, back to my question. If I take ballet lessons, I don't want to have to wear the dull boring ballet clothing made for men, because I REALLY HATE THE WAY ITS MADE AND THE STYLES AVAILABLE! I prefer to wear a womens pink leotard, pink chiffon skirt, white tights and pink slippers. Would this be an acceptable outfit for a class? I wouldn't be made up as a female (wig, makeup etc.) so this is why I am asking for advice. Personally, I feel we place to much emisthes on whats for female and what for males. Females wear males clothing every day and its acceptable, but when its reversed it now becomes a problem. So I should be able to wear what makes me feel comfortable to class. Also since I would me wearing a skirt would it still be neccessary to get a dance belt? I would really appreciate any help with this situation and if you could please send your suggestions to my email also bbrownjr@adelphia.net Thank you all sooo much. Chelsea Answers to this message:
