Adult male here and I just started up my begineer ballet classes again and am discouraged with my lack of flex and movement...My barre work is pretty good posture moves etc, but when we go to center I cant seem to grasp the combo moves, pirrotte, piques etc. It does'nt seem to register with my brain and I feel clumsy and lunky... any tips from adult men here? The key to learning ballet at an advanced age is don't give up, and don't force yourself to do too much too soon. Even young people require months and even years to do the movements correctly and fluidly. The more time you spend in ballet, the more it becomes engraved in your brain. Hang in their!!!
