I am a 40 year old dancer and people pass me all the time! Especially in my point class!! the kids are fearless and learn way, way quicker than I do. But you know, I don't compare myself to other people any more. I am getting better at my own slow pace and I still love to dance. Perhaps this is a good time for you to do some soul searching. Why do you dance? Are you dancing because you love it? Because you want to be fit? Or perhaps is there a career motive? I know I can't quit. I am quite frankly hooked on ballet. People tell me I will never get a job or be in a company but they can't take away my dreams or my love of dancing. I will dance one way or another - even if I have to start my own company!!!!
