Believe me, you are not ancient!  I'm 37 years old and will be beginning ballet in a couple of months.  In fact, me and a good friend are opening a dance studio and company.  Where are you located?  We'd love to have you!  If you've got a dream, don't let something as minor as age stand in the way.  Good luck, and stay away from the fetish stuff.  It's not befitting a true male dancer.
