If you have any information on any dance schools for 16 year old beginners in New Mexico, tips for a male ballet artist, or anything that I might want to know please write/ post message reply. Also, I am also willing to go to a high school dedicated to ballet and acedemics in any part of the USA too!>Please help, Truly Yours,>Joshua

REPLY:  That's great!!!  There are soooo many schools looking for ambitious dancers like yourself.  It depends if you want jazz too!  Elite Dance has a great program  that includes jazz and ballet (there style is somewhat mixed). They don't have many male dancers though.

The Dance Factory also offers some fun classes and you won't be the only male!!!I take their intermediate ballet class - it's a lot of fun.

I also have taken at Hayden Ballet School and the Ballet Theatre of New Mexico.  Both of these schools are excellent as well.  Their style is somewhat more traditional, though.

I also hear that Lana's has a great adult program.

Please keep in touch - let me know where you decide to go!!

Sincerely,

Ann

P.S.  I am in the planning stages of a dance and choreography invitational scheduled for next year in Albuquerque (June 3) probably at the Cultural Center -hope you can come check it out!!!
