Anyone out there who knows something??>>Hello Claire - I do know someone who would be very knowledgeable.  I can give you a link   http://www.criticaldance.com/   This is a free board with lots of knowledgeable people - one of whom lives in San Francisco.  As an adult you need to chose a school and teacher very carefully.  Many teachers don't really like to teach adults - but, I always loved it.  Some come to this board and post your question - and I am sure someone will have a great answer for you.
